You need special shoes for hiking and a bit of a special soul as well. I was soon about to find out that Emme Woodhull was right! On Sunday 10 September 2016, a group of 20 of us embarked on a charity challenge to climb Mount Kenya, the highest mountain in Kenya and second highest... Continue Reading →
I have always wanted to visit Egypt but I did not expect it to happen so abruptly. It was literally a last minute plan with my family. I honestly did not know what to expect from the country given the terror attacks that had just occurred days before we arrived. I had mixed feelings about... Continue Reading →
GUEST ARTICLE BY BRIAN MBUGUA I am in a new country for the second week, trying to adjust to the slow island life and one night in my musings, I decide to google “crazy things to do in Mauritius.’’ The adrenalin rushing through my body thereafter is tremendous. When asked, “How do you write?” I invariably answer, “One word at a time,” and the answer is invariably dismissed. But that is all it is. It sounds too simple to be true, but consider the Great Wall of China, if you will: one stone at a time. But I’ve read you can see it... Continue Reading →

“Why do you do these things?” I get asked a lot. Well, Charles Lindbergh could not put it any better, "I believe the risks I take are justified by the sheer love of the life I lead." I just enjoy it. And since it was almost New Year's Eve, I knew I had to end... Continue Reading →
I've got a confession to make: I love danger. The feeling i get when i know that I'm looking down to death and yet, somehow, i live to tell the tale is inexplicable. In that second, i realize that it is the most wonderful experience of my life! I know, I'm out of my mind, right? What can i say, I believe that adventure is more fun if you smell danger! Before i scare you off, i just wanted to share with you the scariest thing I've ever done. Starting my blog! Lame, right? Wrong. To me, there is something magical in putting into words images and thoughts that only you can envision in your mind. I know that everyone thinks we're fools. To most of the world, blogging is a joke. It isn't a conventional career. It isn't a way to make money. It isn't a tool for changing the world. Well, I'm not here to make money. I just want to share my passion of writing, of crazy adventures and I hope that in one way or another, it will inspire your life. Sometimes i think that I'm out of my head but living life on the edge isn't that bad. "Everything you want is on the other side of fear." With that, Welcome to my blog where I'll be sharing with you my adventures. I hope you find everything you're looking for!
